Jang Wonyoung’s ‘FOREVER:CHERRY’ is set to be unveiled as a collaboration project with medicube. Since the trademark applications and the launch of an official Instagram account in January, speculation had extended to the possibility of an individual brand launch. Starship Entertainment, however, has explained that the project is a brand collaboration rather than Jang Wonyoung’s personal business.
medicube Japan is understood to have announced the FOREVER:CHERRY collaboration through its official Instagram account on May 8. The post listed May 11 as the official opening date, and Jang Wonyoung’s personal account was also tagged.
The path to FOREVER:CHERRY
FOREVER:CHERRY has been a point of interest across the beauty industry and fan community since January 2026. On January 11, trademark applications were filed under Jang Wonyoung’s name for ‘FOREVER:CHERRY’, ‘포에버:체리’, and a cherry-shaped logo. The designated goods are understood to include cosmetics, fragrance, essential oils, and massage gels.
An official Instagram account later appeared, introducing visuals built around cherry motifs, pink ribbons, and pastel tones. As the nature of the project was not immediately clear, speculation around an independent brand launch also followed. On January 28, Starship Entertainment clarified that FOREVER:CHERRY was a brand collaboration project.
Why was the trademark filed under Jang Wonyoung’s name?
Starship Entertainment explained that the trademark filing reflected the artist’s identity and image within the project name. The stated purpose was to prevent unauthorized commercial use or brand misuse by third parties after the project ends, with the filing made under Jang Wonyoung’s name in agreement with the brand.
Considering the cherry-shaped logo, elements that suggest Jang Wonyoung’s initials, the pink color palette, and the visual mood associated with the artist, the filing can be read as a measure to protect artist IP.
Where medicube comes in

Jang Wonyoung has been active as a model for medicube AGE-R, APR’s beauty device brand, since July 2025. At the time, medicube AGE-R selected Jang Wonyoung as a new product model, broadening the public-facing appeal of its beauty device lineup.
